Snowman Pyramid

Woodworking has been an Ulbricht family tradition for over 90 years. Creating traditional wooden art that brings joy to people of all ages. Otto Ulbricht started the Otto Ulbricht‘s workshop for fine wooden crafts and toys in Seiffen, Germany in 1928. After World War II, Ulbricht and his family were forced to flee Seiffen in West Germany and finally settled in Bavaria where the company was re-established. In 1968, Otto passed the company down to his son Christian Ulbricht. When Germany reunited in 1990, Christian Ulbricht seized the opportunity and bought back his father’s original company in Seiffen where they continue to operate from today.

German Pyramids date back to the middle ages. Families would hang these intricately designed pyramid from the ceiling in their homes. The pyramids are generally 3-4 tiers and when the candle below is lit the kinetic energy from the candle spins the wings on the top of the pyramid which moves the scene depicted below. Fits 2 tea light candles.
